ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIESWe are looking for a talented, self-starter with a passion for data visualization to join our growing team. Our Business Intelligence and Data Visualization team is the key in allowing Brenntag to leverage data-driven decisions and actions. As a senior data Visualization Developer, you will play a key role in a team of cross-functional partners and analytics professionals to help define the problem statement and requirements, in order to develop and implement robust data visualization and dashboarding solutions to enable business decisions, drive performance and lead to the accomplishment of annual goals for Brenntag.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in building and deploying robust data visualization reports, dashboards and insights within a focused area of the Brenntag business value stream to enable business decisions, drive performance and lead to the accomplishment of annual goals
- Conduct work using relevant standards and best practices, tools, processes and metrics
- Assist in executing large cross functional special projects and other team deliverables
- Collaborate with key partners to understand requirements and improve opportunities to drive knowledge into action
- Aid in drafting / proofing research and delivering presentations and facilitating collaborative work sessions or workshops
- Create and maintain team documentation as it relates to instruments, internal artifacts, vendors, industry research, etc.
- Support a growing self-service environment where the dashboards you create will provide daily insights across the business
- Keep current on data visualization technology and best practices
- Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, operations research, behavioral sciences or related field
- 0-3 years of relevant experience developing dashboards, data visualizations and self-service tools
- Experience in data visualization techniques
- Experience with data extraction and analysis technologies such as Tableau, Power BI, SAS, QlikView, SQL or similar tools
- Experience with data entry, data management and investigating in an information management system or complex database
- Ability to lead and/or work on cross-functional teams, accurately identify requirements and provide project management support
- Demonstrated ability to manage a project in a deadline driven environment
- Proven ability to sift through data, identify critical information, analyze, develop hypotheses and make recommendations required
- Ability to work independently, execute portions of large projects and take initiative to explore and solve problems
- Proficient with Excel; experience with a statistical package is a plus (such as R, MATLAB, SPSS, SAS, Stata, etc.)
