Job Description
Overview:
The Junior Video Editor will be responsible for reviewing, organizing and creatively editing raw video footage into a final product. Video projects include home design webisodes, marketing videos, social media content and video content for Studio McGee’s various platforms. The Jr. Video Editor will be able to own a project from start to finish, including: the organization and logging of footage; editing sequences to a final cut; audio editing and balancing levels; color grading; and all other steps necessary to create a video ready to share with our audience.

Responsibilities:
- Cutting raw footage into a final video
- Following the direction of the Sr. Manager of Video and marketing team
- Maintaining an organized post-production workflow
- Media management
- Audio editing and balancing levels
- Selecting music for various video projects
- Inputting graphics to enhance video projects
- Color grading and other fine-tuning to reach a final edit
- Creating new and fresh content to support and transform the Studio McGee brand
Skill and Qualifications
- Background in media, communication, photography, videography and/or technology
- Experience editing videos for social media and/or other relevant media productions
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Audition)
- Understanding of best media management practices
- General understanding of video production tools and processes (cameras, microphones,
- recorders)
- Ability to take direction while also contributing creative ideas
