Summary
Provide friendly, efficient registration and information to all guests and fellow employees. In addition, provide sincere service through actions that display self-confidence, grace and respectfulness to guests and staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Embrace and promote the Commission’s philosophy, programs, culture, and high expectations to deliver Legendary Customer Service
- Anticipate, identify, and ensure guest needs are being met in the best possible way
- Exhibit a professional attitude, diplomacy and an ability to handle difficult situations
- Welcome guests upon arrival and efficiently check the guest in and assist the guest in a way needed prior to their treatment
- Pay particular attention to first-time spa goers and make sure they are comfortable at all times.
- Provide guests with a tour, explaining spa amenities offered and answering any questions the guest may have
- Review and confirm guests appointments
- Maintain a clean and organized spa by monitoring the facilities regularly
- Call Housekeeping for in-depth cleaning services and/or Laundry needs
- Report any necessary repairs to Maintenance
- Efficiently enter in guest profiles into the Springer Miller database based on the guest’s services and retail purchases
- Maintain an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events
- Take spa reservations for guests booking within 24-hours
- Follow set procedures on posting room charges, cash transactions and refunds in accordance to policy
- Answer the telephone in a professional manner and assists guests with questions
- Assist guests with retail purchases when necessary
- Maintain an up to date working knowledge of all retail products and pricing
- Monitor trends in the Spa industry and presents new ideas and suggestions to the Spa Manager
- Assist with the inventory of all Spa products; notify the Spa Manager of equipment status and supply needs
- Maintain a clean and neat work environment at all times
- Increase revenue through the sales of spa related skincare and body products
- Work with all groups to ensure scheduling, spa blocking, and refreshments and verify processes all run smoothly
- Ensure the Spa is staged for maximum guest impact
- Attend internal trainings, seminars, conferences, schools and meetings as directed to continually develop personal knowledge of Spa operations
- Work with the spa manager to properly set up the Spa Attendant schedule, based on business needs
- Work a flexible schedule based on guest demand including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Complete appropriate trainings listed on the human resources Training Matrix
- Adhere to Wheeling Park Commission’s safety rules and policy; refer any and all safety concerns to department manager, safety committee or human resources
- Interact with the public with a cheerful and positive attitude, solve guest problems and complaints in a proper manner, and maintain harmonious working relationships with fellow employees
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
