Junior Software Developer

PeopleTec is seeking a Junior Software Developerfor an opportunty to support our Huntsville, AL location.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Junior Software Developer with Cloud experience to support threat representation within the IC community. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing software applications and a deep understanding of cloud computing technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop high-quality software applications using cloud technologies
• Design and develop software for cyber and space threat prototypes affecting T&E portfolios
• Assist in the deployment DevSecOps pipelines for all software development projects
• Support software development or scripting for high demand data management tools hosting intelligence data
• Support Data Scientists in developing data analytical product or web-based applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize requirements
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Test and deploy software applications on cloud platforms in classified or unclassified spaces
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to cloud computing

Required Skills/Experience:

• At least 3-5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on cloud technologies
• Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or Node.js
• Strong understanding of web application frameworks and basic networking knowledge to support deployment on classified and unclassified networks
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Solid understanding of software development best practices, such as agile methodologies, DevSecOps, continuous integration, and continuous deployment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Travel: 5 %
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field

Desired Skills:

• TS clearance. Ability to obtain SCI/poly
• Minimum certification in: Security+, CISSP, or any IAT Level 2 certification
• Experience building tools for threat representative prototypes within the IC community
• Experience deploying software applications on classified networks
• Experience building and supporting a DevSecOps pipeline
• Knowledge and experience supporting DOT&E in multiple warfare areas
• Azure or AWS cloud certifications
