Position Description:

This position is located within the Information Technology department of MITEC Solutions Inc. This is a Hybrid role where you’ll be required to be in the office 3 days weekly. It is expected during the intial training period the Junior Software Developer will work in the office Monday – Friday. Upon successful completion of the assigned training the Junior Software Developer will transition to the Hybrid office schedule. You will be involved in interpreting software/application requirements provide to coding, unit test, and related documentation. Will be responsible for supporting the release of developed software/applications into production. You will work with other developers, project management teams to jointly develop and enhance existing applications at MITEC. In this role, you will provide technical support impacting both external customers and internal employees. You should enjoy tackling problems, and working with time-sensitive projects.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify, analyze, and triage escalated technical issues.
• Work under Senior Software Developers to complete assigned tasks and projects.
• Design and code from specifications, analyze, evaluate, test, debug, document, and implement software applications.
• Participate in the full development life cycle including requirements definition, prototyping, design, coding, testing and maintenance.
• Develop and maintain clear, well written, self-documenting code.
• Create and maintain design documentation.
• Develop and maintain automated unit tests.
• Responsible for enhancing the developed software to meet evolving requirements.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Troubleshooting skills to analyze problems at all levels
• Must be detail-oriented and deliberate
• Excellent communication skills and ability to speak to a wide range of audiences with a variety of technical understanding

· Familiarity with Microsoft .NET Framework, ASP.NET MVC, and C#.

· Familiarity with PHP, HTML, CSS & JavaScript

· Familiarity with Microsoft SQL / MySQL

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Desire to learn new technology and programming languages as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
