Junior Sailing Director -Seasonal June-August Position

Corinthian Yacht Club is a private club located in scenic Marblehead Harbor. We are dedicated to inspiring a passion for sailing and to nurturing the next generation of sailors. We are seeking an experienced Junior Sailing Director to lead the Junior Sailing Program for the 2024 season.

As the Junior Sailing Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and developing our Junior Sailing program. Your primary objectives will include but are not limited to:

Curriculum Development

• Design and implement a comprehensive sailing curriculum for juniors, focusing on skill development, safety, and fun.
• Ensure lessons are age-appropriate and align with industry best practices.

Program Management:

• Coordinate and manage all aspects of the Junior Sailing program, including scheduling, registration, and communication with parents.
• Supervise and support sailing instructors to ensure a positive and safe learning environment.

Youth Outreach:

• Develop and maintain partnerships with local schools and youth organizations to promote sailing as an accessible and enriching activity.
• Organize outreach events to introduce sailing to new participants.

Regatta Participation:

• Facilitate junior sailors' participation in local and regional regattas.
• Provide coaching and support during competitions.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations for all sailing activities.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and implement best practices in youth sailing.

Qualifications:

• US Sailing Level 2 Certified Instructor or equivalent.
• Previous experience in youth sailing instruction and program management.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• First Aid and CPR certification.

Schedule and Pay:

• The Director is required to be on-site from June 3, 2024-August 25, 2024
• Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
