Junior Records Examiner

We are looking for professional Junior Records Examiners to join the 6K Team!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Individual will support the Records Automation Section (RAS) of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) Information Management Division (IMD) requirement to convert paper records, documents, files, specific digital files and evidentiary materials to an electronic format to enable internal and external customers to efficiently and effectively search the material for pertinent information. Individual will be responsible for performing the following duties:

• Receiving, Inventory & Indexing (Data Entry) - Conduct inventory of the deposited material and entry of request numbers, file numbers, and section numbers into a tabular listing in the date received order.
• Document Preparation - Records, documents and /or files are prepared (made ready to be easily scanned by the scanner). Staples and fasteners are removed, torn pages repaired, pages are aligned properly, slip-sheets inserted; some material is placed in plastic sleeves and some material is copied for scanning.
• Scanning / Re-scan -Individual will scan the material on high speed scanners or when required on desk-top/large document scanners.
• Manual Quality Assurance (MQA) -Individual will use Quality Assurance (QA) sampling methods to review image clarity, orientation, and the overall quality of the output.
• Reassembly -Prior to returning the records, documents, and/or files to the central repository, the material must be returned in the condition in which it was received.
• InputAccel (lA) Output -Individual will monitor system consoles for image "hang-ups," processing anomalies, Optical Character Recognition (OCR) confidence levels, and .TIF, .TXT and PDF quality. Individual will also perform electronic format conversions and OCR-on-demand conversion requests with electronic files if required.
• Review material for security classifications -After the material has completed the output process, individual will review the scan unit output for security classification levels utilizing specific FBI procured software. The security levels which will be searched are those higher than SECRET and validating material processed as unclassified.

• Upload/Ship -Individual will upload electronic files to directories, SharePoint sites and prepare material for delivery to the customer. This could include the preparation of media. Individual will load pallets in preparation for shipment.
• Audit reviews -Audit reviews will be conducted in accordance to government scheduling and standard processing procedures. The reviews will document any type of production processing issues, if required develop a trend analysis, present the trend analysis to management and recommended training options to improve the quality of output.

REQUIREMENTS

• ACTIVE TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE
• Must be able to work shift-work
• Minimum of one year of related experience
• Must be able to lift/carry items up to approximately 50lbs
• Must be able to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time
• Must be able to conduct a visual review of documents being prepped/scanned

Available Shifts:
2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday; 4:00 p.m. - 2:30 a.m.
