We are seeking a qualified Junior Project Manager / Designer to join our team.
General Description:
The Junior Project Manager role at Refined Gardens is responsible for assisting the Project Managers with the successful execution of landscape projects from design inception to construction completion. The Junior Project Manager will collaborate with the Director of Design, Project Managers as well as clients, design teams, builders and craftsmen to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest design quality standard. Refined Gardens looks to its Designers to provide authentic designs that transcend innovative style and trends. This role requires a blend of minor project management skills, technical knowledge, and a passion for creating beautiful outdoor environments.
Responsibilities:
The following represent the primary roles and responsibilities performed by the Junior Project Manager position; these include but are not limited to:
• Work with the Director of Design & Project Managers to create innovative and aesthetically pleasing landscape concepts that align with clients needs and project goals.
• Consult with clients under the supervision of Project Managers to understand their desires, preferences, and objectives.
• Conduct site assessments to evaluate existing conditions, opportunities & local codes.
• Prepare base drawings of properties by merging site assessment, architectural & civil plans.
• Help prepare for presentations, including: hand rendered plans, inspirational boards and sketches as needed to effectively communicate the design concepts to clients.
• Under the direction from the Project Managers- Produce detailed landscape construction plans, including plant selections, hardscape elements, irrigation systems, and lighting designs.
• Work with Drafters to prepare and publish Construction Document plans.
• Produce plant imagery boards, material boards and help with material sections. Tag plants at nursery's if needed.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies to ensure continuous innovation and excellence in design and construction.

• Basic knowledge of Arizona plant material.
• Proficient in assembling a construction document package.
• Strong design skills.
• Capable of hand illustrating and applying color to convey concepts effectively.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Indesign, Office Suite. (Sketch-up, Lumion, Land FX a plus but not required)
• Proficient with Mac computers and software. (Preferred but not required)

Education / Experience:
• The preferred candidate possesses a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in horticulture, landscape architecture, architecture, construction or a related field of study.
• Minimum 2+ years of landscape design experience.
