In your new role as a cyber security professional, you will protect our customer’s most sensitive data and complex systems from all forms of threats including cyber-attacks, insider threats, rogue network devices, and malicious software and applications. You will work with a team of like-minded professionals to share and collaborate upon your ideas to improve the cybersecurity infrastructure, architecture, and configuration deployments. Your ideas and contributions will matter.

 

This is a contingent position based upon customer approval.

Responsibilities:

Skyepoint Decisions is looking for a Junior Project Manager to support the Technology Innovation & Engineering (TIE) office.   

 

Qualified candidate will become part of the Department of State (DOS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective and secure business processes.  The DSCM program encompasses technical, engineering, data analytics, cyber security, management, operational, logistical and administrative support to aid and advise DOS Cyber & Technology Security (CTS) Directorate.  This includes protecting a global cyber infrastructure comprising networks, systems, information, and mobile devices all while identifying and responding to cyber risks and threats.  Those supporting the DSCM program strive to leverage their expert knowledge and propose creative solutions to real-world cybersecurity challenges.    

 

The Junior Project Manager role will be based in Rosslyn, VA and is expected to be onsite.  

 

Position Description: 

  • Provide Systems Engineering ITIL and ITSM process support to the organization.
  • Attend and support business consulting needs to the office leadership by providing recommendations, meeting conduct, risk and action management, and problem resolution.
  • Provide and enable reporting needs for office leadership to stakeholders outside of the organization including presentations and event management.
  • Provide technical guidance on key cyber and IT initiatives impacting office execution strategy; must demonstrate proficiency with managing cloud, cyber risk, IT enablement, or similar functional work.
  • Provide a bridge for complex cyber issues at all levels of the Department using superlative verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Coordinate and prepare products (taskers, cables, official memoranda, etc. from internal and external organizations).
  • Gather data and information from Offices, review data for accuracy and relevancy, compile information, ensure product quality (substance, format and grammar), and shepherd the product through approval processes.
  • Research, coordinate, and develop materials for special projects (unique, unforeseen, ad hoc, and urgent).
  • Engage at the executive level with Department leaders to achieve project objectives.
  • Communicate Front Office task direction to the Office level programs and coordinate final Directorate level deliverables.

 

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications- To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience required. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance is required.
  • Must be able to work on site 5 days a week. 
  • Possess CCNA, CEH, CySA+, CISSP, Security+ CE, GSEC, or similar certification. 
  • Demonstrated experience providing Systems Engineering ITIL and ITSM process support.
  • Efficient in developing requirements, workflow and systems analysis. 
  • Familiar with preparing operating instructions, can compile documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
