Position Type: (4 days onsite -1 day remote -subject to change as needed) Location: Detroit, Michigan
Reports to: Senior Photo Retoucher

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-end retouching that includes but is not limited to non-destructive workflow, accurate color product matching, color shifting, advanced masking/pathing, and seamless compositing while achieving consistency across large volumes of images
  • Self-manage and develop daily/weekly workflows, prioritize and balance workload for team and work cross-functionally between departments
  • Maintain digital asset file organization, naming conventions, color space, crop, file size, and other technical specifications.
  • Think critically to create image composites to reduce photography needs (i.e. creating realistic engravings on highly polished surfaces, combining images to achieve product correctness, etc)
  • Use the appropriate tools and adjustments in Photoshop to color shift products and product details to reduce photography needs
  • Find a balance between retouching with the highest quality and working in a high-volume, fast-paced atmosphere
  • Maintain the highest level of attention to detail (removing dust and unwanted elements in photos)
  • Work to meet team needs as well as follow the approval process
  • Exhibit experience in retouching highly polished and reflective surfaces as well as natural surfaces such as skin and leather
  • Create, utilize, maintain, and edit Photoshop actions to streamline convoluted processes
  • Maintain color accuracy - from running regular color calibrations on monitors to matching photos to samples, and matching color on print proofs (mailers, catalogs, etc) to assure consistency across the board. Color match all product laydown, on-model, lifestyle, etc to PDP imagery
  • Bring new ideas to the table to further streamline the retouching process and techniques

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in photography, graphic design, fine arts or related field
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in photography field

Hiring Overview:
  • HR Phone Screening - 30 minutes via Microsoft Teams (camera off)
  • Technical Interview with Hiring Manger - 1 hour via Microsoft Teams (camera on)
  • Take home assignment - 30minutes -2 hours of work
    • note: select positions may not require a case study assignment
  • Final Interview with Panel - 1 hour via Microsoft Teams (camera on)
