POSITION SUMMARY
The Junior Network Engineer assists with the implementation of specific network infrastructure changes. The position also has primary responsibility for the monitoring and optimization of the network infrastructure environment. This role may also support some training, deployment, and project administration tasks. This position works with Stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts, Cybersecurity, and Technology Architects. The winning candidate will be passionate, committed, organized, and a fast learner, while at the same time being adaptable, coachable, and open to new approaches to technology solution projects.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESNetwork Infrastructure Management:
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of network infrastructure.
- Monitor and optimize network performance to ensure seamless connectivity.
Troubleshooting and Technical Support:
- Respond to network-related issues and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.
Security Implementation:
- Implement and maintain network security measures to safeguard against unauthorized access and potential threats.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Communicate effectively with team members and end-users to understand requirements and provide technical support.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, topology changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- 1-2 years of solid understanding of networking principles, protocols, and technologies.
- 1-2 years of proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
- 1-2 years of experience with network security practices and technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Bachelor's degree in related field, and/or equivalent experience.
Important:
- Experience with HP/Aruba networking hardware
- Experience with Palo Alto firewalls
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Desirable, but not required:
- Project Management experience
- Experience with Jira or similar
- Certifications on various networking platforms such as Aruba ACA/ACSA, Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE or similar
