Are you looking for a Aquisition Analyst role that will provide you with the ability to join a team of analysts, engineers, and support personnel providing aquisition support to the U.S. Navy Shipbuilding programs?   As a part of this dynamic team located in Washington, D.C., you will be expected to bring your inquisitiveness, drive, and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our sailors.

 

The DDG 51 Acquisition Analyst will provide support in researching, planning, budgeting, managing, conducting, executing aquisition activities for the Ship Systems Integration team conducting test/trial activities. Candidates will provide flexible support to customer for the coordination of requirements for financial reviews, technical reviews, and test events of Engineering Ship Systems on New Construction ARLEIGH BURKE Class Destroyers.

 

Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance post hire. 

 

In the role, you will:

  • Track the development and approval of Task Planning Sheets (TPS) and supporting financial documents with appropriate Field Activities, contractors and PARMS in support of the Combat Systems Branch execution.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, as required, to ensure adherence to financial planning schedule.
  • Preparations of briefs, whitepapers, and other documenation to support acquisition milestones, gate reviews, and other taskers to Navy Leadership at Flag and SES level.
  • Support in managing hardware and software configuration baselines installed for each DDG hull in support of key milestones. 
  • Provide support to the DDG 51 Ship Program Reviews, meeting participation and preparing meeting minutes.
  • Develop and manage briefs, spreadsheets, and other internal/external communication in support of the Combat Systems Branch.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled technical working groups and program manager reviews and conferences.
  • Assist with facilitating Combat Systems splinter sessions during Quarterly Ship Program Reviews (SPRs) at Bath and Pascagoula shipyards as required.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business or related field.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Secret DoD clearance post hire.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exemplary verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to perform frequent internal and external customer interface including regularly scheduled and ad hoc meetings.
  • Up to 10% travel required for this role.
