SEA LIFE Minnesota at Mall of America is on the lookout for a Junior Maintenance Technicianto ensure the day-to-day operation is running smoothly, safely, andefficiently.
The Junior MaintenanceTechnician is involved with every department's operation and willmaintain, repair & troubleshoot all aspects of the physical facility,equipment, and machinery. Positionfunctions can include custodial duties, lighting, HVAC, life support systems,plumbing systems, shipping & receiving as well as exhibit set-up and tear down.
Compensation for this opportunity starts at$18.50/hr.
About the Role
Follow maintenance programs to keep down time to a minimum.
Ensure that attraction and maintenance areas are always kept orderly.
Ensure security and safety of all attractions through daily inspections & documentation.
Recognize equipment that needs repair, replacing or adjusting.
Keep tools, machines, and all other company equipment in good working order.
Maintain an understanding of each department's equipment and operations.May need to attend supplemental courses, seminars, or conventions.
Respond to emergency maintenance calls to expedite repairs, always keeping safety and comfort of all guests and employees.
Other duties as assigned.
About You
Self-motivated with 6+ months of previous experience maintaining a wide range of equipment.
Ability to work as a team player as well as individually.
Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
