We are looking for an intern that will work directly with Veris Residential, Inc. professionals across the company, providing support and gaining invaluable experience. The internship program will provide a select few individuals with direct access to Veris Residential, Inc. executives, allowing them to experience the decision-making process of a public real estate company firsthand. The intern will need to be able to commit to a Full-time, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm work schedule fromMonday, June 3rd, 2024 to Friday, July 26th, 2024. This is a paid internship offering $20p/hr. Must be able to commit to commuting to our Jersey City headquarters five days a week. The address to the office is 210 Hudson Street, Suite 400, Jersey City, NJ. Students must be college sophomores entering their junior year or juniors entering their senior year.
A Junior IT Technical Analyst Intern analyzes, troubleshoots, and evaluates network and/or system programs and assets. They are vital to the routine maintenance of an organization's networks and perform tasks including file backups on a network.
They may perform and/or assist in:
- Solving information technology-related problems and issues quickly and efficiently.
assist a user over the phone, using email, or during an in-person visit, and they can often assist with problems remotely.
- Test and evaluate an existing network system and perform regular maintenance to ensure a network operates correctly.
- Updating records and documentation libraries and testing software.
- Solve hardware and technical issues.
- Stay up to date on the latest technologies.
- Assist with the organization of the leadership's time and maintain accurate schedules.
- Organize work activities to ensure completion on time.
- Provide and support training requirements as assigned by the company.
diagnose equipment failures under the guidance of senior personnel and ensure equipment is running safely.
- Support personnel using the network by answering questions and solving problems.
- Provide administrative assistance/support in the completion of forms connected with work assignments according to established procedures.
- Prepare routine to moderately complex correspondence, agendas, proposals, course materials, schedules, articles, meeting minutes, reports and other materials.
- Coordinate repairs/installations with facilities staff, contractors, and users to minimize interruptions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education in business, computer science, engineering or information technology, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with cloud and OS software and systems.
- Demonstrated computer literacy skills alongside fluency in computing, writing protocols, and operating systems.
- Is a natural problem solver and leader with strict attention to detail and sound critical thinking skills.
- Maintain cooperative working relationships and an open line of communication with other departments.
- Develop cooperation and teamwork while participating in a group, working toward solutions which generally benefit all involved parties.
