JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking an enthusiastic math teacher for our students in grades 6, 7, and 8 to provide math instruction at various levels (6th grade math through Advanced Algebra). Candidates must be a team player willing to learn and grow as an educator.
- 1-2 years experience teaching Junior high, or high school math preferred, but not mandatory
- Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree, and complete all Archdiocesan requirements for employment.
- A mentor will be assigned to help this candidate become familiar with school expectations and traditions.
- Positive Discipline and Responsive Classroom training will be provided
- Must be able to work with students in a classroom setting with a variety of digital and paper resources
- Problem-based learning: Motivate learning through the context of a semi-structured problem grounded in real-world application.
- Differentiated instruction: Personalize student learning based on needs and interests.
- Meaningful assessment: Craft opportunities for regular evaluation and reflection using a range of methods.
