B/O Accounting - Junior Financial Analyst
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Revenue Accounting Manager, performs accounting functions and provides administrative support in the Accounting Department.Compile and
analyze financial data, and prepare reports, both statistical and financial, from multiple
ledgers. Conduct analysis of activities at the macro and micro levels for use by managers
and senior leadership. Responsible for tracking, analyzing and reporting patient scheduling and provider productivity daily. Assist in preparation and generation of financial reports and audits. The Junior Financial Analyst provides a full range of finance support for all operational and administrative management partners, and acts as a liaison between business functions and finance/accounting leadership.

(Min. level of education): Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting desired or 2+ years
of relevant work experience

Experience Required (Minimum level of experience):
Min. level of experience): 2 years in healthcare, finance, or related field.
Verbal and Written Skills Required to perform the Job:
Good oral and written communication.
Technical Knowledge and Skills Required to Perform the Job:
Knowledge of financial reporting, cost analysis, and accounting practices. Working
knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing programs. Ability to successfully
implement policies and procedures. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively.

Essential Functions of the Job:
- Responsible for monthly accounting deposits and reconciliation of all clinics, grant and program revenues, tracking reports and recurring financial reporting requirements. Manage all daily cash receipts and on-site weekly bank deposit receiving, scan and save. Coordinates and assist with maintains assigned local, state, unclaimed property, NSF checks and reconciling, and reporting monthly, quarterly and annually. Assist with related Mangers and funding source representatives. Prepares Monthly revenue and verifies payments received.
- Assist with preparing and submits monthly all Clinic cash receipts, merchant deposits, Instamed, EFT, credit cards, RX to assigned funding sources timely and accurately. Compare billing deposits with billing reports and follow up with discrepancies. Medi-cal RA downloads and organize as needed.
- Completes month end tasks prior to established closing dates, including posting journal entries for responsible revenue, assigned balance sheet and bank account analysis accounts; Cash receipt reconciliations for business office and all site CSM, foresee/forecast daily general checking account balance; files all work as directed by pre-established deadlines
- Prepares and posts reclass journal entries when needed and maintains detailed supporting documentation evidencing calculations and reasoning behind posted entries.
- Manage all credit cared applications new merchant setup and manage all necessary duties.
- Order all necessary department supplies.
- Cross train in all revenue department positions as a back -up position.
- Provides coverage for other Revenue Accounting Department team members when necessary.
- Assists in maintaining and developing departmental policies and procedures in matters affecting cost, accounting, budget, and reporting policies.
- Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.
- Attends meetings as required and participates on committees as directed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
