DESCRIPTION:

The primary objective of this position is to troubleshoot and service returned products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service on lighting fixtures, controllers, and control interfaces.
- Visually and physically inspect all returned products. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
- Use calipers, power drills, screwdrivers, laser testers, light meters, heat guns, and other necessary tools to repair and test products.
- Document and report all issues to avoid the recurrence of defects and loss of sales.
- Provide timely feedback to the company regarding product failures or performance concerns. Participate in department-wide training, cross-training, and mentoring programs for new and existing team members.
- Communicate clearly, regularly, proactively, and in a timely manner service findings and feedback to the appropriate Service team managers/staff.
- Wear proper safety equipment.
- Overnight travel may be required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate's degree in electronics, electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering.
- 2-3 years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in repair/service of lighting, small electronics, or technical products.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions, follow established procedures, and keep accurate records.
- Good observation and analytical skills. Must be able to diagnose and repair/service lighting equipment and control systems.
- Working knowledge of DMX protocol and lighting systems. Attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and time-management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Must complete Chauvet University Modules 1-6.
