DESCRIPTION:
Our client is the thoughtful, forward-looking choice for Lighting Designers, offering a carefully focused selection of products that open new design possibilities and make it easier to complete quality lighting projects. The primary objective of this position is to troubleshoot and service returned products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service on lighting fixtures, controllers, and control interfaces.
• Visually and physically inspect all returned products. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
• Use calipers, power drills, screwdrivers, laser testers, light meters, heat guns, and other necessary tools to repair and test products.
• Document and report all issues to avoid the recurrence of defects and loss of sales.
• Provide timely feedback to the company regarding product failures or performance concerns. Participate in department-wide training, cross-training, and mentoring programs for new and existing team members.
• Communicate clearly, regularly, proactively, and in a timely manner service findings and feedback to the appropriate Service team managers/staff.
• Wear proper safety equipment.
• Overnight travel may be required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate's degree in electronics, electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering.
• 2-3 years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in repair/service of lighting, small electronics, or technical products.
• Ability to interpret technical instructions, follow established procedures, and keep accurate records.
• Good observation and analytical skills. Must be able to diagnose and repair/service lighting equipment and control systems.
• Working knowledge of DMX protocol and lighting systems. Attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Must complete Chauvet University Modules 1-6.
