Junior Designer & Marketing Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Junior Designer and Marketing Coordinator, you will collaborate closely with team members to produce work of the highest quality. Creativity and meticulous attention to detail will be crucial. Working with the other members of the branding, communications and marketing team, this role will be responsible for helping to develop a variety of creative materials that accurately and effectively communicate and reflect the mission and values of LDG Development and its affiliates. The role will also help to support the development teams in producing branded materials that further supports LDG’s position as one of the nation’s premier organizations in developing affordable housing communities that family and individuals can be proud to call home.

This role will also provide support to the company’s social media manager in helping to expand LDG and its affiliates social media presence across a variety of social media platforms.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understand project requirements and concepts.
• Designs and produces conceptual and final design materials for all media including but not limited to print, branding, logos, digital communication, and advertising.
• Use various techniques to create branded advertising drafts, models and prototypes by coordinating and collating content.
• Produce final design solutions that can be used across a variety of medium channels (including internal publications, social media, etc.)
• Collaborate with team members to launch and complete projects
• Develop tracking systems for marketing campaigns and online activities.
• Monitor projects through all phases of production.
• Take on special design tasks (e.g. color correction)
• Oversee print contractors and other promotional vendors.
• Collaborates with marketing, communication, and leadership to fulfill design drafts.
• Perform administrative responsibilities as needed.

MINIMUM SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Bachelor of Science or Business Administration degree preferred.
• Up to 2-3 years of related experience in design.
• Experience with design software (e.g. Canva) and graphics editing tools (e.g. Photoshop, CorelDRAW)
• Experience developing PowerPoint presentations and other materials needed to support the work and mission of the organization
• Familiarity with design techniques (e.g. prototyping)
• Understanding of visual elements (layout, type, and fonts)
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
• A keen eye for detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to travel less than 10%.
