Junior Data Scientist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. As a Junior Data Scientist, you will work under the guidance of experienced Data Scientists to create complex reports using varying datasets. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the development and implementation of data-driven solutions, contributing to the overall success of our data science initiatives.

Essential Job Functions:

• Assist in analyzing large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Collaborate with senior Data Scientists in model testing and validation.
• Clean, preprocess, and organize raw data for analysis.
• Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data preparation process.
• Assist in creating visualizations and reports to effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven insights.
• Collaborate with other team members to enhance the overall data science capabilities of the organization.
• Assist in organizing data for compatibility with business intelligence tools.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex findings in a clear and understandable manner.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Sigma.
• Knowledge of big data technologies and frameworks.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and formulas.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit at a computer and use a keyboard and mouse for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.00 per week
