JOB DESCRIPTION—JUNIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE PROJECT MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY

GPA Global is looking for a customer-oriented and motivated Junior Customer Service Project Manager who will support the Sales department and retain and service GPA Global accounts. The ideal candidate will offer support to customers with questions or requests around new or previous orders. The person will manage and build long-term business relationships with our customers independently on projects and extended programs. The Junior Customer Service Project Manager will support and collaborate with internal departments to drive the process, secure information needed, coordinate order information, and handle all customer requirements for a project or job.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Respond/follow up on all customer inquiries, questions, and problems.
  • Request and obtain customer approvals on manufacturing and/or color samples.
  • Monitor approvals via purchase order (PO), purchase order confirmation (POC), and/or e-mail confirmation.
  • Receive and process orders in ERP system; provide information concerning pricings, samples, changes, shipping, etc., and perform contract review.
  • Monitor and update open sales order, finished goods inventory, and open orders for billing reports.
  • Refer complaints of product or service failure to appropriate departments (QA/Sales) after initial investigation; obtain relevant information, disposition, and samples; enter complaints in ERP.
  • Occasional travel to meet with customers.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Lotus notes, and ProSoft.
  • Experience with packaging and printing is a plus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree, with a concentration in Packaging and/or Printing is a plus.
  • Related industry experience (packaging) is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Have the ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Have the ability to write reports as well as business correspondence. Have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients and customers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Lotus notes, and Internet research. Ability to learn and become skilled at EFI Radius computer software.

REASONING ABILITY

Have the ability to define and solve problems. Collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Have the ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
