Junior Controller - On Site

This position is in Boise, Idaho. This is not a remote work position.

The Junior Controller will provide administrative and financial support services to the finance department. Works closely with other accounting and finance personnel, internal departments, and external parties.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for monitoring and assisting the bookkeeper with Accounts Receivable, including posting customer payments and overseeing collections.

Process Accounts Payable, monitor invoice due dates, and request payment as appropriate.

Responsible for credit and expense management system. Ensure all expense reports are submitted promptly and properly coded. Train employees as necessary.

Review payroll for accuracy and completeness.

Assist Controller with the month-end closing process, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

Assist with financial statement review and monthly reporting.

Cross-train as backup to the Operations Team. This includes shipping customer orders and responding to customer service inquiries.

Identify opportunities for process improvement, through the development and implementation of solutions.

Additional duties as assigned to keep the department running smoothly.

What you bring:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.

5 years of professional experience in accounting and finance.

Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Proficiency in QuickBooks.

Strong analytical problem-solving aptitude with creative solutions, ability to organize work with large amounts of information efficiently, and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with strong attention to detail.

Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both in writing and verbally, with management, and vendors.

Able to work as a team player.

Desire to develop and sharpen your skills and knowledge.

Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to change.
