Responsibilities
Job responsibilities for the Buyer will include:
- Negotiate pricing and all other elements related to supplier contract terms and conditions
- Develop a strong understanding and knowledge of suppliers and capabilities
- Work with suppliers and REHAU partners to develop supplier target agreements
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure continuity of good and services that meet the quality, service, and price performance standards of the company
- Develop strategic procurement solutions that are consistent with Company objectives
- Participate in cross-functional team efforts with suppliers and/or customers
- Create effective supplier negotiation strategies based on supplier analyses
- Negotiates transportation cost for one-time purchases and longer-term transportation agreements
- Coordinates logistics with suppliers, forwarders, and carriers and within the REHAU organization
- Expected Travel - 10%
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Minimum of five years of experience as buyer of non production material (MRO) preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management/Business
- Intermediate skill level in Excel, Word and Power Point
- Experience using SAP preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in successful supplier negotiations
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, multi-task and maintain flexibility in fast-paced, changing environment
