THE OPPORTUNITY

Global Prairie is looking for high-energy and high-impact individuals to join our team as Junior Associates (ie, interns) for the summer of 2024. In this role, you will use your talents to help drive the success of our Global Prairie clients, while working for a top 1% Certified B Corporation (B Corp), Public Benefit Corporation (PBC), and 100% employee-owned company. You'll be partnering with other Junior Associates and our Global Prairie team members across the globe to drive impact for our clients who are intent on making a positive impact on the world. And, you'll develop skills that will make you a successful impact player at Global Prairie and beyond.

For this specific role, we are looking for college students, graduate students or early-career individuals who have the following:

  • At least one prior internship experience
  • Willingness to jump in and work hard on any number of client-facing or internal projects

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Working across our Global Prairie team spread across the world, our Junior Associates will be responsible for a variety of tasks and will gain exposure to a variety of growth opportunities, such as:

  • Assisting Global Prairie team members in development of client deliverables from start to finish
  • Developing skillset in strategy, creative development, social media management, earned media outreach, and digital marketing, among other skills.
  • Solving problems through existing knowledge, research and analysis
  • Collaborating with your fellow Junior Associates on a team project to drive further impact for Global Prairie and our clients
  • Coordinating team health and wellness and philanthropy activities
  • Establishing strong working relationships across our nine Global Prairie offices around the globe
  • Identifying new opportunities for company growth and development

Successful candidates display intellectual heft and curiosity, along with exceptional work ethic and communication skills. The Junior Associate Program is open to candidates looking to work in client partnership, project management, insights & strategy, data analytics and graphic design.

HOURS, COMPENSATION AND LOCATIONS

We offer a variety of schedules and time commitment options for our Junior Associates, depending on qualifications and availability. Hourly compensation will be based on where you are in your academic studies (undergraduate student, recent graduate, post-graduate student, etc.).

Our Summer Junior Associates have the opportunity to have a hybrid (part in-person, part remote) or fully remote experience. If you are interested in a hybrid schedule, our Junior Associates are expected to work from the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and remotely on Mondays and Fridays. These cities include:

  • Brussels, Belgium
  • Cleveland, Ohio
  • Denver, Colorado
  • Kansas City, Missouri
  • Washington, D.C.

While we love to have Junior Associates in our offices, we do offer options for remote Junior Associates on a case-by-case basis.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK CONDITIONS

The physical activity required of this position includes standing, walking, lifting, pulling, pushing, kneeling, reaching, stooping, talking, hearing and use of repetitive motion. Light work is required of this position, occasionally lifting or moving objects between 10-20 pounds. The visual acuity of this position requires the ability to operate a motor vehicle. This position will not be substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
