Description:
We are looking for a Junior Associate for our firm expansion. We are mainly looking for someone that has been doing Family Law for at least a few years or more. An ideal candidate will be able to start right handling cases from consultation to trial. We are willing to pay a competitive salary based on experience. We also do criminal defense and the job may require occasional stepping into that world as needed, but nothing major.Duties
- Conduct legal research using various resources such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts.
- Assist in preparing for and attending court hearings and trials.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
- Interview clients and gather relevant information for cases.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files.
- Provide legal administrative support as needed.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar association.
- Strong knowledge of legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound advice.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research.
