Job Description
- Conduct assessments on legacy mission-critical applications to determine business and technical fit within the FEMA enterprise as well as assess viability for refactoring/modernization
- Work with business and technical stakeholder management to identify customer pain points and needs about their IT solutions and collect business and technical requirements to incorporate into target architecture design
- Architect and design IT solutions in FEMA's target environment for refactoring that are vendor-agnostic and can be easily transferred and supported in a cloud environment
- Help design, document, and maintain system artifacts including, but not limited to, solution architecture and information workflow diagrams
- Assess the level of effort to develop and deploy solutions in the target environment
- Define and implement unit and integration tests
- Work closely with engineering and QA to manage and support the DevOps pipeline
- Support Agile-based activities and responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:
- Scrum cadences
- The initiative, epic, and user story development and tracking,
- User story blocker analysis and resolution
- BA/BS degree, preferably in engineering or business-related discipline.
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DHS Public Trust clearance.
- 5+ years of experience in Federal government Full Stack Development on similar projects with the technologies below.
- 1-2 years experience with React Native, React Web, NodeJS, JavaScript, ES6, Redux, and Java.
- Must have experience with web front-end development for cross-browser and mobile device compatibility.
- 1-2 years of experience with Agile, JIRA, Confluence, Git and Bitbucket tools.
- 1-2 years of experience with DevOps builds and pipelines.
- Cloud infrastructure knowledge.
- DevOps expertise.
- 1-2 years of experience with API development.
- Must be familiar with the use of security tokens JSON Web Tokens.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project).
- Strong communication skills and comfortable presenting to customers virtually and in person.
- Ability to create professional resolutions in adverse situations with minimal oversight.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to effectively document and communicate details.
- Ability to work remotely from home with a high degree of accountability.
- SQL Server, complex stored procedures, indexing strategies.
- Experience with software security (DevSecOps).
- Code vulnerabilities remediation.
- Knowledge of encryption methods/cryptography/hashing algorithms.
- Strong Authentication Subject Matter Expertise: SAM-L/XML-based language experience and building out the latest best security practices on PIV-I, per the White House Executive Order.
- OAuth (Open Authentication experience).
