New York Cancer and Blood Specialists (NYCBS), a prominent and respected Oncology/Hematology group, is seeking a Jr. Cybersecurity Analystto join a well-established and growing pure sub-specialty practice with academic affiliation. Practice manages a freestanding outpatient 7-day per week Cancer Center with extensive chemotherapy administration, Radiation Oncology, Pharmacy and Research department.

In this role you will:

• Gain knowledge of security protocols and compliance to assist in implementing appropriate measures to protect all company asset
• Document IT configurations, procedures and policies
• Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's network infrastructure
• Support the administration and maintenance of servers, storage systems, and related software
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues related to infrastructure and systems
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the team's goals and objectives
• Identify and mitigate security risks by analyzing security events and alerts, executing incident response procedures and communicating and assisting stakeholders
• Preform duties including analysis of multiple data sources and technologies to assist in the detection of compromised systems and accounts, identification and mitigation of phishing campaigns and identification and remediation of vulnerable operating systems and software
• Provide initial triage for discovered issues, escalates as needed and contributes to larger incident response efforts when required
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to continuously enhance the security posture of the organization

We require:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and compliance requirements related to the organization (HIPAA)
• Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
• Knowledge of server hardware, software, and administration (Windows Server, Linux, etc.)
• Demonstrated understanding of IT security principles and concepts
• Ability to clearly communicate information and security concepts to non-technical audiences
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and car is required

Salary up to $30/hr.
Full time, Monday – Friday, Occasional Weekends and Nights
