- Support the design and development of a new environment based on ASP.Net and SQL Server 2014 implementation.
- Support and develop quality applications with ASP.NET.
- Support implementation of Agile/Scrum practices.
- Support maximizing database stability, ensuring uptime of databases supporting the Enterprise. Support development environment incl. Production, Testing, and Development through system monitoring, performance tuning, and routine maintenance tasks such as index rebuilds, file compression, statistical updates, and database consistency checks.
- Assist management of the storage environments for the databases, including optimal sizing, monitoring space, requesting additional storage, and providing growth statistics.
- Create tables, views, indexes, database links, views, materialized views, stored procedures, and other database objects as needed, creating, and assigning database roles and privileges.
- Creating and executing database backup and recovery policies and maintaining integrity and reliability of the access to information.
- Importing and exporting data to and from the database servers.
- Conduct troubleshooting of issues associated with supported SQL databases.
- Performing SQL performance tuning tasks.
- Assist internal client teams with the management of production server systems such as network security teams, data center teams, and system security officers.
- Serve as technical liaison between IT teams.
- Provide support for client site change control activities, supporting change control requests and review boards with respect to system implementation.
- Perform security hardening via group policies, local policies, scripting, etc.
- Distinguish between necessary security settings that would protect the system while ensuring usability versus security settings to meet security compliance.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident and be able to pass Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) / agency security clearance.
- 3+ years of experience using ASP.Net framework and familiarity SQL Server.
- Strong independent management skills.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, under tight deadlines and under pressure.
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Effective time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3+ years of development experience using .NET languages.
- An additional 2 years of experience in large enterprise environments may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
