Jr. Accountant

Junior Accountant

Acorn Engineering is growing and we are interested in hiring one or two Junior Accountants to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a head for numbers, experience with MS Excel, and strong analytical skills. The Junior Accountants will report directly to the VP of Finance and will need to demonstrate the ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced office environment.

Junior Accountant responsibilities and duties.

· Assist with the preparation of financial statements

· Analyze and reconcile bank statements and general ledgers

· Post journal entries for accrued expenses and revenue

· Process payroll and assist with other tasks as assigned

· Prepare and file local compliance reporting as necessary

Junior Accountant qualifications and skills

· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

· 2+ years' related experience preferred

· Hands-on experience working with general ledgers

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills

· Proficient with ERP systems, including Microsoft Excel and V-Lookup

· Able to multi-task and prioritize work effectively

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
