Hands on injection mold repair. Maintain all tooling in a ready to run condition through maintenance and repair programs. Maintain and update all relevant tool documentation.
- 1. Perform mold preventative maintenance on all plastic injection mold tools.
2.Repair plastic injection mold tools utilizing in-house capabilities.
3. Knowledge to repair hot half of mold including heaters, thermocouples, wiring and understand thermo growth for proper stack height.
4. Follows and maintains the preventive and predictive maintenance program.
5. Maintain an appropriate level of inventory of tool room supplies and spare parts.
6. Operate within assigned tool room operating monthly and annually budget.
7. Provide weekly activity sheet to the Technical Manager.
8.Verify molds that have been recently repaired or PMd for production are completed correctly and signed off.
9. Check molds running for visible problems that could cause mold damage and production downtime.
10. Perform mold evaluations and create detailed report.
11. Reviewing incoming corrective action reports and provide input on concerns or possible additional improvement proposals.
12. Maintain close contact with mold shops to assure that mold repairs are completed and repaired. Ensure mold can operate effectively consistent with our finishing needs, and in line with customer acceptance standards.
13. Provide press side support when needed.
14. New Molds: when a mold does not produce the desired part, it may need to be repaired, reworked, or realigned.
15. Provide complete, concise instructions when returning a mold to the mold maker, including marked-up parts. Keep operations informed to allow for a new sample run when the mold is returned.
16. Maintain troubleshooting skills as it relates to current and proposed equipment: injection molding machinery, secondary equipment, assembly machines, poke yokes, robots and compressors, dryers, and air feeds systems.
17. Perform preventative and general maintenance on plant and production equipment.
18. Following Company work order and PM programs.
- 19. Work with outside contractors in support of projects, troubleshooting, etc.
