Our Journeyman Sheetmetal Mechanics are skilled professionals that can install duct work, measure and lay out fittings, and other related materials in new or existing commercial construction jobs. Our Journeymen Sheetmetal pros work alongside helpers and apprentices with minimal direct supervision, as they install various HVAC and ventilation-related components during commercial construction or renovation projects. JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in the commercial sheet metal trade
- Preferred: A 4-year apprenticeship training certificate from an accredited institution.
- Journeymen provide their own hand tools, but Company specialty and power tools are provided for everything else.
- Must have experience
- Leading and training helpers/apprentices in the installation of duct work, equipment, & various other components
- Reading and understanding mechanical drawings, blueprints, specs, and submittals
- Working independently with minimal direct supervision
- Following and role-modeling a commitment to safety requirements
