Journeyman Painter

We are looking for an experienced Journeyman Level Painter. Experience is a must.

Requirements for job:

• Must have own transportation
• Must have own hand tools
• Must be drug free
• Must be clean cut and and keep a clean appearance
• Ability to operate pumps, both spraying and properly cleaning the equipment
• Ability to choose the right size tip and pressure for different surfaces
• Ability to set up a pressure washer properly and be able to pressure wash houses, buildings concrete and fences
• Ability to properly mask areas being worked in
• Ability to correctly prep all surfaces (scrape, sand, fill holes and cracks with correct filler)
• Ability to choose the correct primer for the surface being painted
• Ability to work at heights up to 35'
• Ability to safely set up and use ladders and scaffold
• Ability to cut a straight line and brush and roll efficiently
• Ability to properly clean the jobsite during and after completion of project
• Ability to complete small jobs unsupervised

Duties will include:

• Properly prepping work area for painting (covering floors, windows, or any other surfaces that are not being painted, removal of lights, plate covers, smoke detectors, doors, mirrors, cabinet hardware or any other objects that need to be removed and re-install everything)
• Surface preparation including scraping, sanding, caulking and hole filling with a variety of products
• Pressure washing houses​, buildings, concrete or fences with knowledge of which size tip should be used and what cleaners should be added
• Choosing the correct primers for different surfaces
• Brushing and rolling with knowledge of which type and size of brush as well as what size and nap rollers should be used for different surfaces
• Set up a sprayer, choose correct tips and pressure, clean pumps properly
• Keep a clean jobsite daily by sweeping, using a shopvac, organizing materials and tools, remove all trip hazards around entire project

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
