Relocation expenses up to $12,500

As a Journeyman Lineman, you will play a critical role in the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground high voltage power lines. This position demands a skilled individual who can perform tasks such as pole climbing, hot sticking, pole setting, and changing of pole equipment. The Journeyman Lineman will be responsible for various activities including stringing and sagging wire, handling oil-filled equipment, pulling, laying, and terminating underground cables, installing pad-mounted equipment, and operating around heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Construction and Maintenance: Perform the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground high voltage power lines.

  • Pole Operations: Engage in pole climbing, hot sticking, pole setting, and changing of pole equipment as part of routine tasks.

  • Wire Management: String and sag wire accurately and efficiently in accordance with safety and operational standards.

  • Underground Cable Operations: Pull, lay, and terminate underground cables following established procedures and quality standards.

  • Equipment Installation: Install pad-mounted equipment, ensuring proper placement and functionality.

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, guidelines, and regulations during all tasks and operations.

  • Line Patrol and Troubleshooting: Patrol power lines, record findings, and engage in troubleshooting activities as required.
