American Iron is a licensed contractor with two divisions/sides.
We provide welding of pipe systems including mechanical systems, gas lines and underground.
In the structural realm we provide steel erection and shop fabrication as well as production based welding.
Duties
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and products according to blueprints and specifications
- Operate and maintain various tools and equipment such as welding machines, forklifts, and machining tools
- Perform welding tasks using various techniques including wire welding
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine project requirements
- Cut, shape, and bend metal using tools such as shears, saws, and presses
- Measure and mark dimensions on metal pieces to ensure accuracy
- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects
Experience
- Previous experience in fabrication or related field preferred
- Proficient in welding techniques, including wire welding
- Familiarity with the metal fabrication processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
Note: Experience with structural steel and pipe fabrication is a plus.
This position requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The ideal candidate should be able to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods of time.

This position is Monday-Thursday, 10 hr shifts with possibility of overtime
