Journeyman Ironworker

***$2,000 Sign-on Bonus and $500 Referral Bonus***

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experiencedJourneyman Ironworkersfor a project located in the Greater New Orleans Metropolitan Area, LA.  This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $31-33/hour based on experience and skill level plus $85 per diem for candidates living more than 60 miles from the job site.  If you are a Journeyman Ironworker eager to master your skills alongside other skilled Ironworkers and accomplished Craft Professionals, this is your chance to advance your career!

Job Scope: 

• Identify All Tools Required for Tasks
• Identify Safety Risks and the Precautions Required to Eliminate Risks
• Fabricate Equipment According to Blueprints or Instructions from Supervisors
• Hoist Equipment and Tools into a Location via Bull Rigging or Crane
• Verify Vertical or Horizontal Alignment of Structural Steel Members Using Plumb Bobs, Laser Equipment, Transits, and/or Levels
• Connect Columns, Beams, and Girders with Bolts Following Blueprints
• Bolt Aligned Structural Steel Members in Position for Permanent Riveting or Bolting
• Pull, Push, or Pry Iron/Steel Equipment into Approximate Positions for Bolting into Place
• Cut, Bend, and Weld Iron/Steel Pieces Using Metal Sheers, Torches, and Welding Equipment
• Other Tasks as Assigned

Requirements:

• 4+ Years of Experience as an Ironworker Helper or Structural Ironworker
• Must be able to Work at Heights in Excess of 300 ft.
• Must Have all Required Tools

*Sign on Bonus paid in 4 parts - $500 on weeks 1, 3, 5, and 8
