Journeyman Electrician- NAS

We now specialize in doing your electrical service work. Bertke will maintain and repair all of your electrical equipment. We also offer infrared/thermal imaging, arc flash studies and arc flash training. We are currently adding Journeyman Electrician's to our growing onsite team maintaining the North American Stainless (NAS) site in Ghent, KY! We are seeking skilled and experienced electricians who have completed the required training and apprenticeship program. Their job involves installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in the NAS facility.

**Installation:** Perform the installation of electrical systems, wiring, lighting, and equipment according to local and national electrical codes.
**Maintenance:** Conduct routine maintenance of electrical systems to ensure they are in proper working condition. This may include troubleshooting, repairs, and replacements.
**Blueprint Reading:** Interpret and follow electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to plan and execute installations accurately.
**Testing and Inspections:** Use testing devices to check the functionality of electrical systems, identify faults, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Participate in inspections as required.
**Safety Compliance:** Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Identify and mitigate potential electrical hazards.
**Code Compliance:** Stay updated on local and national electrical codes and regulations. Ensure all work meets the required standards and obtain necessary permits when needed.
**Collaboration:** Coordinate with other construction professionals, such as architects and contractors, to ensure the seamless integration of electrical systems into overall building projects.
**Customer Service:** Interact with clients to understand their electrical needs, provide recommendations, and address any concerns. Ensure customer satisfaction through quality workmanship.
**Problem Solving:** Diagnose electrical issues and develop effective solutions. Troubleshoot problems efficiently and make necessary repairs.
**Team Leadership:** In some cases, a Journeyman Electrician may lead a team of apprentices or other electricians, providing guidance and supervision.
**Documentation:** Maintain accurate records of work performed, including specifications, materials used, and any changes made during the installation or maintenance process.
**Continuous Learning:** Stay abreast of technological advancements and industry trends. Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
