What You Will Do: As a Journeyman Technician, you will leverage your valid journeyman's license and technical skills to work from schematics and diagrams. Your responsibilities will include wiring and installing electrical components, switch gear, electrical switches, and various electronic instruments and devices, such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), data loggers, relays, breakers, and other electronic instrumentation equipment. In addition to installation, you'll excel at troubleshooting and diagnosing the causes of electrical or mechanical malfunctions and failures in operational equipment, making the necessary repairs. If equipment does not meet acceptable operating standards, you will conduct electrical testing and recommend or initiate equipment modifications or replacements.
We Are Looking For:We are in search of individuals who are ready TO APPLY their journeyman's expertise to lead and mentor the next generation of electricians. While we assume that you possess the necessary code knowledge and technical proficiency for electrician duties, we are primarily interested in finding floor leaders who can effectively drive final assembly teams to meet deadlines efficiently while upholding high standards of quality and safety.
Experience and Skills:
Requirements You Need to Have:
- A valid Utah Journeyman’s Electrician License or an equivalent from a state with reciprocity with Utah. This typically involves at least four years of accredited electrical apprenticeship education, along with a minimum of 8000 hours of on-the-job training experience and successful completion of a final journeyman’s exam.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding wiring schematics and layout diagrams.
- A strong grasp of electrical theory, the National Electrical Code (NEC), and other relevant codes, as well as the best practices for installing various industrial electrical components and equipment.
- Experience with various hand tools, crimpers, wire strippers, electrical testing equipment, conduit benders, threaders, and other specialized equipment commonly used in electrician work.
- Self-motivated and capable of working effectively in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Confidence in working closely with and leading/mentoring other electricians and apprentices to ensure smooth production flow and on-time project completion.
- Demonstrated proficiency in achieving high-quality results in electrical assemblies, wiring, and troubleshooting through meticulous attention to detail and anticipation of potential issues during the early planning and design review stages.
- Commitment to producing quality work and maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, management, and other team members

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $37.00 - $55.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

- Salt Lake City, UT: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
