Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with local and national electrical codes
- Perform electrical troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within budget
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations at all times
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
Requirements:
- Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician license or equivalent certification
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, components, and equipment
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints
- Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve electrical issues
- Familiarity with local and national electrical codes, including NEC regulations
- Experience working in industrial settings preferred
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Skills:
- Frame carpentry: Experience with framing structures using wood or metal materials.
- Logic controllers: Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used for automation and control systems.
- Renovate: Ability to renovate existing electrical systems or components.
- Low voltage: Familiarity with low voltage electrical systems, such as security or data networks.
- Maintenance Person: General maintenance person skills for performing minor repairs or maintenance tasks.
- Hand tools: Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools for electrical work.
- NEC: Understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) for safe installation practices.
- Electrical: Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and components.
- Industrial electrician: Experience working as an electrician in an industrial setting.
- Schematics: Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics accurately.
