Journeyman Electrician
Are you a skilled tradesman with 3 years of continuous Journeyman Electrician experience? How about running your own Apprentice Team? We’re looking for a skilled Journeyman with experience in residential and light commercial wiring and installation. We are licensed to operate in Idaho and Wyoming. Job Description:
- Adhere to and follow schematics and job plans for each project with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Complete performance reports of Apprentices to Master Electrician for consideration.
- Submit daily job reporting documents to the Master Electrician for review.
- Collaborate with Master Electrician regarding needs for assigned projects and resolution of any issues.
- Work alongside and mentor Journeyman Apprentices.
- Safely operate tools and equipment, such as:
- Various hand tools applicable to the electrical trade- i.e.: tape measure and torpedo level, hammer, wire strippers, dykes, crimpers, needle nose pliers, razor knife, screwdrivers, cordless drills, cordless grinder, Sawzall, skill saw, voltage/amp meter, conduit bender, ladders and other tools specific to the trade.
- Power construction tools and equipment- i.e.: hole Hawg drill, wire tugger, scissor and boom lifts, forklifts, scaffolding, mini-x or backhoe, Hilti drill, welder (wire feed).
- Demonstrate effective organizational, listening, and communication skills daily.
- Must have a working knowledge of NEC and OSHA regulations and requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring assigned projects are completed accurately, according to plan and specifications within budget and time constraints. This will include:
- Ability to read and understand project plans/layouts.
- Understand job schedules and budgets for labor and materials.
- Ability to submit daily job reporting documents.
- Will report to Master Electrician regarding needs for assigned projects and resolution of any issues.
- Must be a team player with a good work ethic and a sincere desire to progress and succeed.
- Communicate and coordinate with contractors and 3rd party vendors with integrity and professionalism.
- Perform electrical work and inspection on wiring, fixtures, outlets, and other electrical components.
- Maintain a deep understanding of building code regulations to check and ensure compliance with the highest standard of building construction and design.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to read, understand, and speak English.
- 3 years of continuous employment in the electrical
- 1+ years of Journeyman experience.
- Must have a current/active Idaho Journeyman license.
- Experience in effective supervision and training of assigned crew of Electrical Apprentices (will consist of 2 Electrical Apprentices).
- Will report to Master Electrician regarding performance and advancement of the Apprentices.
- Must have a clean Driving Record (MVR)
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
Shift: 7 AM-5 PM, Monday-Friday
Location: Primarily Southeastern Idaho and Western Wyoming.
Compensation Package:
- $30-40/hr depending on experience (DOE)
- Regular Merit Raises/ Performance Bonuses

- PTO (80 hours available at 1st-anniversary date and thereafter)
- Job travel pay (shop-to-shop)

Must provide own hand tools to include:
- Tool belt
- Tape measure
- Torpedo level
- Hammer
- Screwdrivers
- Wire stripper
- Dykes
- Crimpers
- Needle nose pliers
- Cordless drill w/batteries and charger
- Gloves
- Any other small hand tools necessary to complete your job.
