Job Description
- Safely operate a heavy-duty rollback truck to transport equipment to and from specified locations in a timely manner.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Coordinate with the dispatch team to ensure accurate and timely deliveries and pick-ups.
- Load and unload equipment, ensuring that it is secured correctly and documented properly.
- Demonstrate the operations of the rented equipment to the customer/operator.
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery and pick-up operations, representing the company in a professional manner.
- Complete logs and reports, including travel and fuel logs, delivery documentation, and vehicle inspection reports.
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) and company policies and procedures.
- Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record.
- Proven work experience as a Truck Driver, specifically in equipment delivery and transportation.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
- No recent moving or driving violations.
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and equipment.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Experience in operating equipment such as boom lifts, skid loaders, forklifts, etc.
- Familiarity with GPS devices and route planning tools.
