When it comes to where you work, we know you've got choices...here's what we provide:

  • Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
  • Position Status: Part-time / 20+ hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday- Friday; Hours can range between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with occasional weekend hours

Responsibilities

Here's what to expect on the job:

  • Assist individuals in obtaining, and maintaining community-based, competitive, independent employment.
  • Assist individuals with employment applications, interview preparation, job development, job training, and social skills training.
  • Provide on-going observation, supervision, and guidance for the individuals.
  • Ensure the delivery of natural supports at the worksites of the individuals.
  • Communicate with the individuals, their family members/guardians, and their employers to reinforce and stabilize job placement.
  • Help individuals with disabilities build self-esteem and independence through making everyday decisions.  
  • Use effective communication to build relationships and rapport with the individuals.
  • Develop and carry out an individualized plan based on individual preferences, needs, and interests.
Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • 6 months to 2 years of previous job-related experience
  • Knowledge specific to the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or autism
  • 18 years of age
  • A valid driver's license and 6 months driving experience
  • Access to a vehicle with valid insurance, registration, and inspection
  • A team player who can be flexible with their schedule
  • Ability to communicate, read, write, and understand the English language

Preferred, but not required:

  • A High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate
  • ACRE/CESP certification. If none, must be willing to obtain within 6 months of the start of employment.
