Job description

The Retail Greeter serves as a front-line representative to customers in the dealership's Service Department. Greets guests as they visit the dealership, answers basic inquiries about vehicles, and imparts basic information. Assists in other areas as needed.
Responsibilities:

  • Greeting all guests entering the service area with a friendly, upbeat attitude
  • Answering our guests' questions, collecting our guests' vehicle information; determining our guests' initial service needs, preparing initial service orders, and directing guests to the appropriate person or location
  • Accountable for maintaining service traffic flow and parking
  • Recording customers' names, VINs, tag numbers, mileage, and existing vehicle damage
  • Maintaining a clean and safe service area free of dirt, water, leaves, etc.
  • Providing courteous, friendly, and professional service to customers
  • Maintaining a professional appearance
  • Working in the "Car Wash" area as required:
    • Driving vehicles to the car wash lane
    • Vacuuming vehicles
    • Returning vehicles to the designated parking area
  • Performing other duties assigned by supervision and/or management including working in 'delivery'
    • When a guest arrives to pick up their vehicle, retrieve the key and walk to the vehicle location
    • Driving guests' vehicles through the car wash and vacuum

Qualifications:
  • Associate spends 90% of the time outdoors
    • The position involves working both indoors and outdoors, in weather elements
  • Must be able to move around the vehicle for inspection and gather guest information
  • Must be able to bend and kneel to check tire pressure on vehicles, and vacuum vehicles when needed
  • Light lifting is required when guests need help with items from their vehicle to the inside of the store
  • Ability to drive the vehicles from the valet drive to the appropriate area and walk back to the valet drive
  • Must be able to maintain concentration and focus while comprehending information, as required
  • Should be able to accommodate extended work hours, depending on assignment, as needed
  • Assist in the Loaner Department:
  • Create loaner agreements using iPad
  • Communicate terms and conditions of loaner contract
  • Have enough cleaner loaners for the start of the day, and in staging area
  • Assist other departments as needed
