Kegman, Inc., a Service-Disabled, Veteran Owned Small Business in Melbourne, Florida is seeking an experienced Jira/Confluence administrator to help successfully lead and manage our U.S. Air Force customer’s instance of Jira/Confluence. The administrator will provide on-site Advisory and Assistance Services to the Air Force Technical Applications Center’s (AFTAC) Program Managers by setting up and administrating Jira/Confluence. The Jira/Confluence Administrator will serve as a system developer responsible for managing and integrating ongoing AFTAC projects into Jira and Confluence systems following industry standards. The ideal candidate must have experience in programming or scripting languages to implement different plugins and automate workflows. Operating in a collaborative environment, the administrator will analyze users’ needs to optimize internal and external workflows to align with the customer’s operations goals and needs.

This job is performed 100% on-site and has no remote/hybrid work option.

The successful applicant must have a fully adjudicated (not an interim), U.S. Government-issued security clearance at time of application, and therefore, must also be a U.S. citizen.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    •  
  • Perform role of Confluence super user performing site-wide administration to include management of all pages and spaces in the Confluence instance.
  • Customize and manage complex Jira workflows, Jira projects with various schemes, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes.
  • Work directly with product and project management teams to understand their specific Jira needs and agile development teams to provide Jira guidance.
  • Set up Jira and Confluence, configure user permissions, and troubleshoot access and/or performance issues.
  • Ensure all security protocols, rules, and regulations are followed in Jira and Confluence environment.
  • Develop and drive processes, policies, and controls related to Jira and Confluence.
  • Evaluate and manage the use of add-ons to meet team and operations goals/needs.
  • Design and implement a process to migrate from existing instances to new Jira instances.
  • Produce, Configure, Automate, and Evaluate Jira and Confluence reports, dashboards and planning views based on different user requirements and provide stakeholders with actionable project metrics and status reports.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of third-party applications administration.
  • 2+ years of Jira/Confluence administration
  • Expert administrative-level experience supporting Jira Software, Jira Service Desk, and Confluence
  • Experience with: JQL, SQL, REST APIs.
  • Experience with scripting languages: Java, Shell, Bash, Perl, or Python
  • Familiar with Agile best practices and building Jira projects to promote those best practices
  • Experience with configuring and supporting integration using development tools on Jira
    •  
  • Have a very strong understanding of Jira and Confluence integrations and functions (plug ins, CI/CD pipeline, market place apps).
  • Able to work in a dynamic environment, including the ability to manage and prioritize tasks while maintaining a service-oriented work ethic
  • Must be very detail-oriented, organized and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment to simultaneously support multiple projects of varying complexity.

  • Knowledge of the Jira product suite at admin and Confluence super-user level.

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS:

  •  
  • IAT Level II Baseline Certification (e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)
  • Familiar with Jira Cloud, Jira Server, Jira Service Desk Server, Confluence Cloud, or Confluence Server
  • Able to translate highly technical matters in understandable terms to non-technical audience
  • Jira Administrator or Atlassian Certifications
  • Jira Service Management Fundamentals (Preferred or ability to obtain)

EDUCATION:

      •  
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in IT Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other relevant field of study.  In lieu of a degree, must have 3+ years of relevant experience.

OTHER:

  • Must pass drug test.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Must possess a fully adjudicated (not an interim) US government security clearance at time of application.
  • No relocation assistance provided.
