The City of Everett is accepting applications for a Jetty Kiosk Manager Day Laborer. This employment is temporary. Employeesmay be requiredto contribute to the Washington State Public Employees Retirement System. This contribution is refundable upon the employees request at the completion of employment. A work permit fee of $12 is required by AFSCME Local No. 113. These positions are not provided with City of Everett benefits.

This job will consist of supervising a beach facility. Duties include, but are not limited to:

ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLES OF WORK
This job will consist of supervising a beach facility. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Supervise and schedule Kiosk Staff.
- Assign tasks and delegate as appropriate to the Kiosk Assistants
- Assuring safety for all visitors traveling to and from the island.
- Awareness and ability to mitigate potential risks and in some cases make important, time-sensitive decisions.
- Providing Excellent Customer Service.
- Boarding passengers for the Jetty Island ferry.
- Maintain passenger safety and ensure orderly conduct.
- Answer phones and e-mails.
- Maintain radio contact with boat and island staff.
- Maintain keep accurate office work records.
- Work closely with Park Rangers, Ranger Supervisor, and Recreation Supervisor.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with supervisors, coworkers, and the public.
- Ability and willingness to support diversity and multi-cultural understanding in the workplace.
- Ability and willingness to maintain a work environment free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
- Ability and willingness to be punctual and dependable.
- Ability and willingness to perform strenuous labor tasks under varying environmental conditions.

- Ability and willingness to cover responsibilities of the Interpretive Park Ranger as needed.
- Minimum age 18
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in fast paced environment.
- Remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
- Experience in Customer Service or related field
- Independently manage and lead staff on site and maintain communications with supervisors as appropriate.
- Current CPR and First Aid Card
- Possession of, or ability to obtain prior to employment, a valid Washington State Driver's License
- Possession of, or ability to obtain prior to employment, a Washington State Boater Education Card
- Prior to employment, must submit a motor vehicle driving record abstract.
- Ability to traverse on unsteady terrain.
- Ability to independently embark and disembark from small water vessels.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
