JD Edwards Specialist

Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing, is seeking a dynamic and experienced ERP Specialist to join their global IT Team. This role is responsible for providing functional and technical support for the JD Edwards 9.2 ERP system and associated interfaces, including IBMs Sterling EDI system. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency.
Note: Onsite, Hybrid or Remote in the United States. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide functional support for JD Edwards E1, EDI applications, and associated SQL databases in manufacturing, including customizations.
• Advise on the configuration and setup of system master data.
• Collaborate with business units to identify opportunities for leveraging JDE E1.
• Assist in creating business requirements, workflows, system design, and functional specifications.
• Lead the global JDE user group to share best practices.
• Test and document JDE application customizations.
• Support integration testing and post-implementation validation.
• Ensure compliance with established change control procedures.
• Participate in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning activities.
• Contribute technical skills, industry experience, and best practices to the team.
• Coordinate with European staff on projects.
• Manage US and EU vendors for upgrades, patching, and customizations.
• Provide accessible support outside of set work hours as needed.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.S) or equivalent in Information Technology or related field.
• 5-8 years of IT experience in progressive roles.
• Experience working in multi-country/international application or technology deployments.
• 5+ years supporting JD Edwards 9.0 and above in distribution and/or manufacturing modules.
• 3+ years managing SQL databases.
• 2+ years working with EDI applications, such as IBM Sterling’s B2B.
• Experience with planning and executing upgrades to JDE is highly desirable.
• Experience with warehouse management software in a JDE environment is a plus.
