Our client is a top financial firm, they are currently seeking a Java/Credit E-Trading Programmer, this candidate will work in a global team delivering production ready features and enhancements in support of Credit Electronic Trading. He/She will focus on delivering New York Credit Trading specific requirements. This role will involve working directly with the trading desk. This candidate will join the New York Credit Pricing and Electronic Markets Technology Development team, this team operates as part of a Global Credit Pricing and Electronic Markets Technology team. It is a Front Office facing team which works directly with Traders and Business Management to provide high quality solutions both locally and as part of the global platform.

Responsibilities:

• Develop pricing and electronic markets distributed applications
• Provide tier-3 support of applications for front-office users
• Work alongside production support teams to roll out changes/new functionality.
• Promote and maintain software engineering best practices working in conjunction with the London based Dev Team

Skills:

• 5+ years experience with Java Development
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Experience with Message-Oriented software architectures
• Experience working in a Fixed Income Front Office Environment
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with SQL Server and Oracle
• Familiarity with source control systems such as GIT, SVN or TFS.
• Experience with Build Integration Platforms such as Team City or Jenkins.
• Experience in TDD and agile methodologies
• Knowledge of ION Trading Services
• Knowledge of Credit Products and their trade processing
• Exposure to low latency programming and multi-threaded environments
• Proficiency in C#, C++
• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, etc.
