Application / Solution Architect -
PA- Malvern - Hybrid Must
Responsibilities
Set and maintain the strategic direction and roadmap for various technologies and solutions.
Work closely with architects, product owners and domain experts to build the reference architectures.
Oversee implementation/adaptation to ensure adherence to architectural standards.
Core Responsibilities:
Define the strategy and technology roadmaps for multiple product families and domains.
Creating recommendation trees for the usage of architectures like Microservices, Domain Driven Designs, Event-Based Architectures, Serverless, and More..
Creating recommendation trees for the usage of technologies like Kong, Kafka, SNS, SQS, Dynamo DB, Aurora DB, S3, Redshift, Glue, ECS, Lambda, Splunk, CloudWatch, and More..
Leading Architecture boards to review, govern solutions/technologies.
Assists in defining the current state of applications, identify gaps to meet divisional/organizational requirements/goals, and developing a strategy to bridge the gap.
Creating application and platform standards, guidelines, best practices, and governance. Monitors implementation activity to ensure architecture and design principles are upheld.
Identifying cross-cutting concerns and creating Design patters/Shared Libraries.
Teaming with other IT departments to explore new technologies and their rollouts.
Assist in building out exemplars/POCs.
Mentor/Train senior developers/technical leads and foster development of others.
Qualifications
Minimum of eight years related work experience, with at least three years of technology architect experience.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
Strong knowledge and application of micro-service design principles and best practices: distributed systems, bounded contexts, service-to-service integration patterns, resiliency.
Experience with AWS services such as ECS, EKS, DynamoDB, Aurora, S3, SNS, and SQS
Expert experience with Confluent Kafka with hands-on production experience and a deep understanding of the Kafka architecture in an added advantage.
