Java Software Tester

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Java Developer and Automation Test Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of working experience in Information Technology. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in developing Java web applications or web services for at least three years and a minimum of five years' experience in developing Automation Test Scripts. Familiarity with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) / Test Driven Development (TDD) methodologies is essential, along with expertise in all facets of the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Java web applications and web services.
• Develop and execute Automation Test Scripts, with a strong emphasis on BDD/TDD methodologies.
• Ensure adherence to secure software development practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and application code.
• Lead, manage, and mentor teams in designing, coding, testing, deploying, and implementing multi-threaded applications using Java technologies.
• Interface with business and IT teams to understand requirements and facilitate effective communication between stakeholders.
• Develop and execute unit test and integration plans/scripts to validate application changes meet technical specifications.
• Utilize Agile Scrum methodologies for project development and management.
• Liaise with business partners, project stakeholders, top management, QA, and Support/technical specialists to ensure project success.
• Demonstrate strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of working experience in Information Technology.
• Minimum of three years developing Java web applications or web services.
• Minimum of 3 years developing Automation Test Scripts.
• Familiarity with Behavior-driven development (BDD)/Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.
• Proficiency in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Experience with jQuery, Bootstrap, Java 8, Cucumber, Selenium, Apache Tomcat, the Spring Framework, and Oracle databases.
• Expertise in designing, coding, testing, deploying, and implementing multi-threaded applications using Java technologies.
• Strong knowledge of secure software development practices.
• Strong understanding of SDLC phases with experience in Waterfall, Agile, and Spiral Development Methodologies.
• Ability to obtain or has obtained a valid Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) Clearance.
• Experience with IRS preferred.

• Familiarity with Section 508 Standards
