Avanade Inc. seeks a Java Microservice Developer in Scottsdale, AZ to define technical, operational and user requirements.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:
The position requires at least a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, plus at least three (3) years of experience as a Java Microservice Developer, or as a Software Engineer, or in a similar role within the IT or IT consulting industry. A qualified applicant’s experience must include: 3 years of experience developing software throughout the full SDLC, including requirements gathering, building software, executing UAT, and releasing to the production environment; 3 years of experience in Microservices Design and Engineering to include Spring Java Microservices or ASP.NET with cloud platform (Azure Kubernetes, Bluemix, or similar) to deploy and run distributed cloud agnostic applications; 1 year of experience in DevOps to include configuring Jenkins pipelines, Microservices lifecycle management, creating/managing dependencies using Maven/Gradle, deployments, and automated testing; 3 years of experience using Java Enterprise Edition, Java, Spring and Spring Boot microservices or C#, ASP.NET and microservices; 3 years of experience with Applications Architecture; 3 years of experience with full-stack web development with Angular or React, C#, ASP.NET, MS SQL Server or MongoDB, Node.js, Restful API, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Redis, and Apache Kafka; and 1 year of experience with Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Event Hub, or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
Responsibilities:
The position duties include: participate in all phases of IT solutions projects, including plan, analyze, design, build and test; create conceptual architecture and solution design materials; develop solution against the design and implement quality control and testing procedures; partner with cross-functional technology teams to integrate solutions and requirements solution strategies; coordinate with offshore resources; contribute to project management activities; perform testing for enterprise solutions, including web services and enterprise portals; provide support and debugging; maintain and repair existing applications; and contribute to the repository of intellectual property.
