Java Developer (Fully Remote)

US Citizenship and the ability to pass a Federal government clearance check are required.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• A minimum of 3 years experience creating and modifying Java applications specifically working with Java/J2EE and JavaScript (including the EXTJS javascript library, and the ICE plugin for TinyMCE)
• Linux and UNIX system knowledge, including shell scripts, and Telnet
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Extensive knowledge of XML technology, including but not limited to Data Type
• Excellent grammar and spelling in written communication
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Excellent listening skills
• Ability to learn and contribute quickly to project requirements
• Ability to prioritize and organize personal and group efforts in a fast-paced environment
• Independent problem-solving skills, strong analytical abilities, creativity and a “helping others helps us all” personality

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience, four years of related work experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree

The Java Developer’s responsibilities will involve participating in the review and assessment of application enhancements and requirements, researching and implementing corrective action to resolve application problems; and working with clients to maintain and modify the code base so that it is in line with the current technology stack.
