Java Developer- Backend

Ready Support Services is seeking Java Backend Developers. These positions will support the prime contractor to develop, implement, improve, troubleshoot, and maintain existing application software and services as well as code in Java for new development projects. The program follows Agile principles, utilizes Scrum methodology, and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices within a DevSecOps framework. Work is performed 100% on site, preferably in Richardson, Texas or Aurora, Colorado. Dulles, Virginia is open as an alternative location. No remote or hybrid work is available.

Required Skills:

• Must be US Citizen with a TS/SCI security clearance and willing to submit to a counterintelligence polygraph

• Able to work full time (100%) in a SCIF

• Two (2) or more years of specific Java coding development experience (not JavaScript)

• Must be able to code a new algorithm directly in Java

• Prior experience working new Java and backend development projects

• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams)

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Agile software development practices

• Familiarity with Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) tools, the ServiceNow Platform and Atlassian suite to include Jira and the virtual workspace Confluence

• DoD 8570 IAT Level II Cert – Security+ or equivalent

Education:

• High School diploma with 2-4 years’ relevant experience required

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science with 2+ years’ relevant experience desired
